M.I.A’s video for ‘Bad Girls’ has gone viral, and rightfully so. M.I.A is at the top of her game. A strong and fearless woman, M.I.A constantly pushes the boundaries of pop music. A genre that (still) constantly pushes female artist to fit either the mold of innocent virgin or sex siren. M.I.A breaks this mold and is just her bad ass self. She’ll give the middle finger to America. She doesn’t give a shit. 

The video is directed by Romain Gavras who also directed her controversial music video, ‘Born Free’. If you’re not familiar with his work I also recommend you watch his amazing video for Justice’s ‘Stress’.

Another bad girl on the rise is Azelia Banks. A young female rapper, she follows in the footsteps of Nicky Minaj as a no bullshit, say what I want, bad ass chick. Her track ‘212’ has been on repeat all this week.
